Tammy A. Weber is originally from Hammond, Louisiana, but relocated to Texas in 2016. As a self-taught loctician, Tammy counts it as a blessing to have been successfully operating for 6 years. With a passion for all hair types, Tammy dreams of being a barber. As a child, she was taught to cut hair by her father, which added to her love for it, since her dad cheered her on each step of the way to mastering her skill. 

Tammy spent time in the healthcare field because she feared she wouldn't be a good barber, only to rediscover her first love and passion at heart. After starting her son’s locs (accidentally) and maintaining them, Tammy grew an obsession with locs. This led her to do massive research and she became a student of all things pertaining to locs. Her roots in the healthcare industry naturally fostered her desire to help others. After making the difficult decision not to return to the healthcare industry after the pandemic, Tammy began maintaining the locs of people she cared for. This unearthed a calmness and peace that stirred a renewed excitement in her future. Realizing that God showed her nurturing souls through nurturing hair was the next phase in her life, and she decided to step out on faith and build The Loc Nursery!

Tammy's ultimate dream for her brand is to continue to service people through nurturing and nourishing their hair with compassion and love!
